Synopsis

It's a time when a group of ape-like robots dominate an entire planet. It's a planet, in fact, we're very familiar with, but only a few of us are left. Now creatures made of circuitry instead of blood rule, and they, in turn, are ruled by two awesome living mega-machines - Armageddon and Amok. This is their story. Armageddon leads the Mekaka ape-like robotic creatures. Amok, leader of the Wheeldebeasts, is the repository for the darkest secrets of the world. Worshipped as a god, Amok towers over Armageddon in power because he possesses a very special knowledge. He knows where this time fits into all of time. Metalzoic unfolds the story of Armageddon's rise to supremacy and how his ascent is made possible. Writer Pat Mills is widely known in Britain for his work on many IPC books including 2000 AD, Nemesis the Warlock and many others. Artist Kevin O'Neill, who co-created Nemesis with Pat, fills every page of Metalzoic with amazingly complex graphic detail. Basing his creatures on traditional animal forms, Kevin develops them into very non-traditional and highly imaginative technological beings. Stylistically unprecedented, Metalzoic is a rare treat!
